January 15th chili/funfly

Members,

   Just a reminder that the first club event of the year is next weekend Sat. Jan 15^th

It is our annual chili fly. Please concoct your best pot of chili and bring it out for everyone to try. We will have $75,$50,$25 cash prizes for the top three pots of chili. The flying begins at 10:00 after the club meeting. Chili tasting and voting begins at 11:00 with all votes due in by 12:00. Everyone in attendance will get one vote for their favorite. The club will provide bowls and spoons.

   We will be having a climb and glide contest with spot landing for bragging rights.

The objective is to see who can keep their aircraft in the air the longest after a 30 second climb.  All types of aircraft are welcome. You must be able to turn your engine or motor off after 30 seconds. There will be a 45 second bonus added to your score for touch down in the circle in the middle of the runway.

   Lastly, we will be holding a swap. Bring your old unwanted model treasures and swap them for somebody else’s.

   As of today the weather for next Sat. is partly cloudy and 47 degrees perfect weather for chili. If the weather turns to rain the make up date will be the following Saturday.
